Welcome to WAL Training

WAL Training was founded by its managing director Wendy Luis.

Established in 2005 Wal Training was largely managed by its founder up until 2012, when Bosakeys joined the business as its Strategic Business Partner

The company initially focused mainly on driver and driven machinery operator training (taking advantage of the new Training environment to present training and assessment as required by the country’s latest Skills format)

Training services have since been extended to cater for Construction equipment operation (Construction SETA) and Welding and related fields (MERSETA).  Future scope of business will include socio-economic development fields.

Major clients include Transnet Operations i.e. Pipelines/Rail/Engineering/Container Depot/Multipurpose terminals, SA Shipyards, Elgin Engineering, Group 5 Oil & Gas, Grinaker LTA, Zikhethele Terminal Services, Flavour Craft, UCL, Mandlethu Civils and many more.

WAL Training is accredited by the relevant Education & Training Quality Authorities (ETQA’s) and approved by relevant Government Departments as required by appropriate Regulations, and as such, training can be undertaken at locations such as clients premises or as arranged with client.

All Facilitators/Assessors are registered with the relevant ETQA.

Currently based in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town a further branch has also been set up in Richards Bay.

In establishing a market share, WAL Training differentiates itself from its competitors through reasonable pricing and credible, ethical services.   Based on experience, WAL Training is now also developing unique training materials, aligned to Qualifications/Unit Standards, supporting learners to achieve more and add value to themselves and the company.   WAL Training believes in equipping and enabling individuals to perform in a more understanding and meaningful manner.

WAL Training is currently managing apprenticeships in conjunction with the UIF/Merseta in the fields of Vehicle Body Building, Welding.  WAL is also in a position to take advantage of upskilling/skilling unemployed individuals through placing them into companies for on the job training.  This would assist individuals in either becoming more marketable or even starting their own businesses.

WAL Training periodically takes training opportunity in specific SADC Countries as well as Europe.

WAL Training is a BEE Certified Level 3 (115%) company, and whilst this is of corporate benefit to those business who choose to conduct business with us, we are equally committed to making a positive effort to contribute to the upliftment of individuals and groups who were socially and economically disadvantaged.
